Hunter Biden’s Trial Begins – Jail Time?

HUNTER BIDEN

(FreePressBeacon.com) – Possibly facing 17 years behind bars, Hunter Biden is headed to a new trial in Los Angeles for not paying $1.4 million in taxes while reportedly spending huge sums on strippers and pornography.

This is not Hunter’s first rodeo. He has already been found guilty in another case and could also be convicted on his current charges, which include three felonies and six misdemeanors.

Set to start with jury selection today, the trial will see about 30 witnesses take the stand.

Among them will be a stripper paid by Hunter and someone who claims he dropped $30,000 on porn, all during the years he supposedly avoided paying taxes. Opening statements will kick off next Monday.

Former prosecutor and seasoned LA trial lawyer Neama Rahmani thinks the case against Hunter is strong and “straightforward.”

Although not involved in this case, Rahmani believes a conviction is very likely. “There really is no chance of him winning this case on the merits,” he commented on the legal strategy.

Last year, Hunter nearly avoided jail in a tax and separate gun case through a potential plea deal.

However, said deal fell apart when his team pushed for total immunity, a condition neither the special counsel’s office nor the presiding judge would accept.

In a previous trial in Delaware, Hunter was found guilty of lying about his drug use to buy a gun.

This conviction followed dramatic testimonies about his severe addiction to crack cocaine, including statements from his sister-in-law and former partner, Hallie Biden.

In the upcoming tax evasion trial, Hunter’s defense is trying to keep out evidence of his spending, which they argue is only meant to tarnish his reputation.

However, the prosecution insists this spending spree, which Hunter wrote off as business expenses, is crucial to their case.

Hunter’s defense claims any tax mishaps were due to his drug-impaired state, and have noted that the money owed has since been repaid by his so-called “sugar brother,” Kevin Morris.

Still, Judge Mark Scarsi, appointed by former President Donald Trump, ruled that jurors will not hear about the tax repayment as it could mislead them into thinking delayed payment negates tax evasion.

Hunter is set for sentencing on November 13 in the gun case and could face up to 25 years, though likely much less.
