(FreePressBeacon.com) – Just hours before he is scheduled to speak before the Democrat National Convention, the bombshell impeachment report involving Joe Biden and his family dropped.
House Republicans slammed Biden in a thorough report, suggesting he committed multiple impeachable offenses.
The probe into Biden’s actions began last September over accusations that he had recurring dealings with his family’s foreign business partners during his vice presidency.
Additionally, two IRS investigators revealed there was a substantial cover-up by the Justice Department.
The 291-page document was drafted by three House committees and charges Biden with “abuse of power” and “obstruction of justice or obstruction of Congress” related to a $27 million “influence-peddling racket” — offenses deemed sufficient for impeachment proceedings.
“Joe Biden has exhibited conduct and taken actions that the Founders sought to guard against in drafting the impeachment provisions in the Constitution: abuse of power, foreign entanglements, corruption, and obstruction of investigations into these matters,” the report states.
It further claims, “The Committees’ investigative work has revealed that the Biden family — with the full knowledge and cooperation of President Biden — has engaged in a global influence peddling racket from which they made millions of dollars.”
The House formally approved the impeachment inquiry in December 2023 along party lines.
The investigation involved interviewing 30 witnesses, issuing 30 subpoenas, and reviewing millions of pages of documents, including business contracts and bank records.
The report accuses Biden of supporting his son Hunter and brother James’ questionable business activities and then trying to obscure these dealings from congressional oversight.
Additionally, associates of the Biden family, including former business partners of Hunter Biden who testified before the panels, reportedly profited by another $9 million.
The report also highlights Hunter’s controversial involvement with Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma Holdings, where he was paid up to $1 million annually despite lacking relevant experience.
This happened shortly after his father took a leading role in U.S. policy toward Ukraine under the Obama administration.
The report concludes that such obstruction constitutes a “high crime and misdemeanor” under the Constitution.
While it seems unlikely that the Republicans will gather enough votes for impeachment, they might still pursue a lesser penalty like censure in the GOP-controlled House.
