(FreePressBeacon.com) – In a disturbing announcement of an “imminent security threat,” the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has enacted a drone ban over 22 New Jersey cities, allowing for the chilling possibility of “deadly force” against drones.
See the tweet below!
The FAA’s temporary ban on drone operations in specific New Jersey areas is effective until at least January 17.
Cities like Jersey City, Elizabeth, and Camden fall under this restriction.
This drastic measure stems from weeks of mysterious drone sightings, spurring public concern and speculation about foreign interference.
Residents in the affected zones now face strict regulations, with the FAA warning that violators could have their drones intercepted and might be “detained and interviewed by law enforcement/security personnel.”
The ban prohibits drones from operating below 400 feet, adhering to the FAA’s maximum altitude for recreational drones.
Restricted areas include critical infrastructure, military installations, and airports. Despite these severe measures, certain agencies like law enforcement and disaster response are exempt, The BBC reports.
Interestingly, President Joe Biden downplayed the seriousness of the drone sightings, referring to them as “nothing nefarious.”
Yet, his reassuring words contrast with reports of drones near military bases and other vital infrastructure.
“We are following this closely. So far no sense of danger,” the Democrat said as he left the White House for a trip to Delaware.
The Department of Homeland Security and the FBI are implementing drone detection technology and infrared cameras to evaluate potential threats.
Finally, the FAA has banned drones over parts of New Jersey, threatening “deadly force” for “imminent security threat.”

Despite these efforts, the public remains skeptical, fueled by former NJ Gov. Chris Christie’s demand for an investigation after a drone sighting near his home.
Drone activity has led to temporary closures of airports and military bases.
The FAA, FBI, Department of Defense, and Department of Homeland Security are actively investigating these incidents, but their conclusions have yet to reassure a wary public.
The Pentagon has denied claims of foreign involvement, with some FBI officials suggesting the response might be “a slight overreaction.”
Onlookers are left to question whether the government’s handling of the situation is proportionate or if transparency is lacking in its disclosures.
The public has been advised against taking action against drones, such as using lasers or even shooting them down.
The FAA’s drastic measures raise valid concerns about state overreach, balanced by a palpable need for security.
