(FreePressBeacon.com) – In a bombshell revelation, the wannabe assassin who tried to kill Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on his Florida golf course has been confirmed to be a Trump hater.
58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh previously said on social media, “Democracy is on the ballot” this year and that “we cannot lose,” echoing the same message Kamala Harris and Joe Biden have been spreading.
The Secret Service caught Routh near the Trump International Golf Club West Palm Beach armed with a Soviet-style SKS assault rifle.
When they fired at him, he managed to escape but was later caught by local police on I-95.
Authorities named Routh the suspect. He has a long history of criminal activity in North Carolina, often shares his political views online, and has consistently supported Democrat candidates and initiatives since 2019.
In an April 22 online post, Routh criticized Trump, stating, “DEMOCRACY is on the ballot, and we cannot lose.”
In another post on the same day, he urged Biden to campaign on the promise of keeping “America democratic and free” while accusing Trump of wanting to enslave Americans.
“We cannot afford to fail,” Routh added. “The world is counting on us to show the way.” This language mirrors what Harris continues to say on the campaign trail.
For instance, on August 29 at a rally in Savannah, Georgia, Harris stated, “We are fighting for our democracy,” and on July 31 in Houston, she declared “our fundamental freedoms are on the ballot and so is our democracy.”
Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton criticized the similar rhetoric, “It is no coincidence that Routh repeated Kamala’s and Joe’s extremist rhetoric against Trump. At this point, it is inexcusable incitement.”
Routh also expressed his disappointment with Trump in a June 2020 tweet, despite initially supporting him in 2016.
He wrote, “I and the world hoped that president Trump would be different and better than the candidate, but we all were greatly disappointment and it seems you are getting worse and devolving; are you retarded; I will be glad when you gone.”
Financial records show that Routh has been donating to Democrat causes via the ActBlue fundraising platform since 2019, totaling over $140 between September of that year and March 2020.
