Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller is ramping up efforts from the administration to tackle the illegal immigration crisis with a bold new target of 3,000 ICE arrests daily.
Watch the video below.
This aggressive enforcement strategy, spearheaded by Miller, aims to reverse the flood of illegal entries that occurred during the Biden years.
The new arrest benchmark represents a significant increase from previous quotas.
ICE had previously been working toward 1,800 arrests per day, but Miller is pushing to nearly double this number as part of President Trump’s promise to secure America’s borders.
If successfully implemented, this enhanced enforcement could result in an additional 650,000 illegal aliens being arrested this year alone.
The administration’s efforts are already showing results. In the first three months of Trump’s return to office, 139,000 people have been deported, with thousands more detained awaiting removal.
April saw 17,000 deportations, marking a 29% increase from the same month in 2024.
These numbers reflect the administration’s commitment to reversing the policies that led to an estimated 8 million illegal border crossings during the past administration’s tenure.
Miller and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem recently met at ICE headquarters to advocate for increased arrests and deportations.
Although Miller took a forceful approach during this meeting, Noem advocated for a more measured strategy that sought input from ICE leadership.
Some agency officials reportedly felt their jobs were at risk if the ambitious targets were not met.
“Keeping President Trump’s promise to deport illegal aliens is something the administration takes seriously,” White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson stated.
She remarked:
“We are committed to aggressively and efficiently removing illegal aliens from the United States, and ensuring our law enforcement officers have the resources necessary to do so. The safety of the American people depends upon it.”
In addition, border crossings have already decreased significantly since Trump ended Biden’s catch-and-release policy.
The administration has also modified the CBP One app to encourage voluntary departure rather than serving as a pathway to enter the country.
BREAKING: Stephen Miller just confirmed that the spending bill will FULLY FUND deportation efforts!
His goal is 3,000 ICE arrests PER DAY, and this provides the funding to do so!

In a pragmatic approach to reducing the illegal population, Trump has offered vouchers and plane tickets to illegal aliens willing to leave the country voluntarily.
The administration’s focus has evolved from targeting only illegals with criminal records to implementing broader deportation operations.
While Texas and New Mexico have seen the highest arrest and deportation rates so far, nationwide enforcement could expand significantly if Congress approves the proposed “Big Beautiful Bill,” which could allocate $147 billion for border enforcement.
Meanwhile, the 3,000 daily arrest target is three times higher than what was achieved during the early days of Trump’s first presidency.
This reflects the administration’s determination to restore and exceed previous enforcement levels.
The ultimate goal appears to be targeting over 1 million arrests annually, a clear message that illegal entry will no longer be tolerated.
For many Trump patriots who have witnessed their communities transformed by unchecked illegal immigration, this enforcement surge represents a long-awaited return to law and order.
While the Biden administration allowed millions to cross illegally, the Trump administration is demonstrating that respect for America’s sovereignty and immigration laws is non-negotiable.
