In a perfectly logical declaration, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem has attributed the violent immigration clashes in Los Angeles to the poor leadership of California Governor Gavin Newsom.

With National Guard troops now deployed, President Trump placed safety above political spectacle, as California liberals scramble to justify Newsom’s inability to defuse tensions.

On June 8, 2025, President Donald Trump made a historic decision, choosing to deploy the National Guard in Los Angeles without a request from Governor Newsom.

This marked the first unilateral activation of a state’s National Guard since 1965, highlighting the urgency the Trump administration felt as immigration policies sparked chaos in the streets.

Violence against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents prompted Trump to act decisively, aiming to restore order where local authorities seemed to falter.

Newsom, a frequent target of conservative criticism, dismissed the deployment as a “spectacle.”

He argued that local law enforcement was effectively managing the situation and warned that the presence of the National Guard could only serve to escalate tensions further.

However, with mounting protests and immigrant rights advocates clashing with authorities, it appears that significant support was required.

Noem was unrelenting in her critique of Newsom, asserting that his inability to address the unrest left ICE agents vulnerable.

“We wouldn’t have officers with a shattered wrist from bricks being thrown through their vehicles, their vehicles being burned, flags being burned in the street and Molotov cocktails being thrown,” declared Noem.

“Governor Newsom has proven that he makes bad decisions,” she added, cited by The Washington Times.

National Guard troops began arriving in Los Angeles amidst the anti-ICE demonstrations, signaling a new chapter in Trump’s commitment to maintaining U.S. borders and protecting law enforcement.

Noem emphasized that the LAPD’s delay in responding to an urgent ICE backup call further necessitated federal intervention, underscoring Trump’s priority on community safety.

Highlighting the administration’s refusal to repeat mistakes from previous administrations, Noem attributed Trump’s proactive measures to the left’s failed immigration policies.

“The president knows that he makes bad decisions,” said Noem, underscoring Trump’s decision to prioritize safety.

Once again, the administration’s resolve showcases an unyielding stance in infrastructure, domestic policy, and national security.

While the Trump administration calls for decisive measures, the growing frustrations around the left’s inability to govern speaks volumes.
