In a blow to the integrity of American visa laws, Texas has witnessed an FBI operation that nabbed two Pakistani immigration lawyers accused of running a massive, multi-year immigration fraud scheme.

This wide-reaching scheme undercut job opportunities for American citizens, leaving patriots questioning the vulnerabilities in our system.
Murshid and Nasir, the two Pakistani lawyers arrested in Texas, allegedly orchestrated a massive visa fraud operation.
Their manipulation involved publishing fake job listings to obtain Department of Labor certifications and submitting fraudulent visa applications.
The operation exploited vulnerable visa programs such as EB-2, EB-3, and H-1B, which are intended to benefit American industries with specialized foreign workers, not to be misused for fraud.
According to the indictment, the fraudulent empire was built by fabricating job offers that allowed them to secure necessary certifications.
They then received payments from foreign clients hoping to secure U.S. visas, returning parts of these fees as fake payroll to create a facade of legitimate employment.
Such actions are seen as bypassing American job candidates, threatening the fair employment practices cherished by American workers.
This case reached the courts on May 23, 2025. Detention hearings are set for May 30, 2025, where both defendants could face up to 20 years in federal prison.
This sends a clear message about the severity of exploiting immigration laws for personal financial gain.
“These defendants are charged with engaging in extensive measures to hide a massive, multi-year, immigration fraud scheme through which they reaped substantial personal financial gain,” stated Acting U.S. Attorney Chad E. Meacham
The broader concern is how such fraud impacts the very fabric of our nation’s workforce, aligning with conservative frustrations over immigration weaknesses.
This scheme highlights a pressing need to bolster border policies and immigration systems.
Many believe such fraud is detrimental to American job prospects, as seen in the Trump administration’s focus on curbing illegal immigration.
“The defendants allegedly oversaw an international criminal enterprise for years that repeatedly undermined our nation’s immigration laws. These laws are necessary to protect national security and safeguard the lawful immigration process,” said FBI Dallas Special Agent in Charge R. Joseph Rothrock.
The investigation leading to this arrest was spearheaded by the FBI, alongside numerous federal agencies.
It reflects a broader commitment to upholding the integrity of America’s legal system and supporting the working families affected by immigration-related fraud.

The defendants’ deceit didn’t just line their pockets but sowed seeds of unfair advantage against American workers.
In the past, critics have pointed out these visa programs invite exploitation, and this case confirms these fears.
These programs, integral for bringing essential skills into the country, must prioritize lawful, deserving candidates.
