In much-needed action, the Trump Department of Justice is examining pardons issued by former President Joe Biden that have sparked outrage among citizens, rightly demanding transparency.

Conservatives are demanding answers if Biden was truly in charge, or if unelected staffers exploited a president who may not have been entirely competent.

The DOJ’s renewed scrutiny may lead to the reconsideration of decisions made during Biden’s presidency regarding 1,500 clemency cases.

Among these are pardons for five of Biden’s own family and 37 federal death row inmates, raising questions of ethics and intent.

Biden’s alleged use of an autopen—a device that mechanically replicates signatures—has come under particular scrutiny, leading many to question whether his pardons are valid.

Pardon attorney Ed Martin, known for supporting Trump supporters from the January 6 Capitol events, is leading the independent review into these pardons.

By investigating the possibility of unauthorized autopen use, the probe aims to uncover the potential misuse of presidential power during Biden’s era.

The investigation also questions whether Biden issued pardons for political allies, particularly members of the House Select January 6th Committee.

Critics denounce such actions as partisan maneuvering, much like Trump’s declaration that Biden’s pardons were void due to the unauthorized autopen use.

Trump emphatically stated, “The ‘Pardons’ that Sleepy Joe Biden gave to the Unselect Committee of Political Thugs, and many others, are hereby declared VOID, VACANT, AND OF NO FURTHER FORCE OR EFFECT, because of the fact that they were done by Autopen.”

The investigation’s legitimacy is questioned by former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani, who remarked, “You’d have to hear from Biden himself admitting it wasn’t him. It’s highly, highly unlikely,” indicating the complexity of proving Biden’s detachment in signing the pardons.

The House Oversight Committee’s broader inquiry into Biden’s mental decline during his presidency adds another layer to the investigation.

The use of autopen dates back to President Harry Truman, yet its overuse during Biden’s term signals administrative frailty.

Trump press secretary Karoline Leavitt called for former First Lady Jill Biden to acknowledge and address her husband’s perceived mental insufficiency.

In his last office days, Biden also pardoned Hunter Biden and extended clemency preemptively to key associates, stirring nationalist outcry.

President Trump’s Justice Department’s inquiry into these pardons aims to “uncover the truth,” hoping to restore public trust by revealing whether Biden was indeed mentally fit to make autonomous decisions.

“President Donald Trump’s Justice Department is reviewing the list of people that were granted pardons by former President Joe Biden, amid new concerns about his use of an AutoPen to automatically sign documents, as well as concerns about his state of mind in his final months in office,” Fox News reports.

As the nation watches, this inquiry could either expose systemic misuse of power or collateralize a past presidency’s validity.

For conservatives, this represents a chance to hold a previous administration accountable and re-establish proper oversight.
