Trump’s executive order, signed on January 29, will commemorate America’s 250th birthday in 2026.
It will feature 250 statues of American historical figures, ranging from Founding Fathers to modern-day heroes, all chosen for embodying the American spirit of courage, excellence, and love of country.
“The National Garden will be built to reflect the awesome splendour of our country’s timeless exceptionalism,” declared President Trump.
The project is not just about statues but about reclaiming American values. The garden will include figures like Frederick Douglass, Abraham Lincoln, and Davy Crockett, alongside more recent icons such as Kobe Bryant and Billy Graham.
“In short, each individual has been chosen for embodying the American spirit of daring and defiance, excellence and adventure, courage and confidence, loyalty and love,” Trump remarked.
To ensure the success of this patriotic endeavor, Trump has established “Task Force 250,” led by Vice President JD Vance and including senior cabinet members.
This team will oversee the creation of the garden and organize a “grand celebration worthy of the momentous occasion of the 250th anniversary of American Independence on July 4, 2026.”
The executive order also revives a crucial 2021 directive for the DOJ to prioritize prosecuting monuments and public buildings vandalism.
While the location for this magnificent tribute to American greatness has yet to be determined, its impact is already being felt.
