(FreePressBeacon.com) – In a complete reversal of its original purpose, the CBP One app has been transformed, under the Trump administration, into the CBP Home app, a tool to facilitate voluntary deportation.

This marks a decisive shift from President Biden’s use of the app for migrant entry appointments.

The Trump administration has rolled out the CBP Home app, repurposing the CBP One app to facilitate self-deportation for illegal immigrants.

The app now allows migrants to notify the U.S. government of their intent to leave the country and verify their departure.

This enables them to avoid severe penalties such as detention or expedited removal, transforming its use from entry facilitation to a robust enforcement mechanism.

The app offers illegal immigrants a lifeline to leave the U.S. voluntarily with the possibility of returning legally.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem highlighted that those who opt for self-deportation might still pursue the American dream legally in the future.

Noem noted, “The Biden Administration exploited the CBP One app to allow more than 1 million aliens to illegally enter the United States. With the launching of the CBP Home app, we are restoring integrity to our immigration system.”

Additional features within the app include I-94 processing, inspection appointments for perishable cargo, border wait times, and bus manifest submissions, Newsweek reports.

Available for free on both Apple and Android devices, as well as through the CBP website, the app is an essential tool in the administration’s strategy to uphold immigration laws diligently.

The CBP Home app aligns with Executive Order 14159, emphasizing border security and enforcement.

This transformation aligns with the Trump administration’s broader efforts to halt illegal immigration, including ramping up ICE arrests and deportations, ending the “catch and release” policy, and shutting down the border to illegal crossings.

Since its launch, the CBP Home app has coincided with a significant drop in illegal entries, with border agents reporting the lowest levels of illegal crossings in recorded history.

In its first 18 days, the administration deported over 11,000 illegal aliens. The Department of Defense is even preparing Guantanamo Bay to accommodate criminal detainees.

The Trump administration’s approach includes launching a multimillion-dollar campaign to deter future crossings.

With Mexico bolstering border containment, many migrants have chosen to return south rather than face the reinforced U.S. border security.

As immigration remains a contentious issue, the reimagined purpose of the CBP Home app underscores Trump’s commitment to keeping America safe, lawful, and sovereign.

By converting a tool of entry into a deterrent, the administration seeks to solidify national security by prioritizing lawful process over unlawful crossing.
