Over the weekend, gunmen stormed the village of Kasuwan-Daji in Niger State’s Borgu local government area, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.

The raid, lasting up to three hours, saw the gunmen arrive from the National Park Forest along the Kabe district, a known hideout for armed gangs.

Despite police statements claiming officer deployment, residents assert that no security forces arrived during or after the attack, leaving bodies unrecovered due to fear of further violence.
